LEISURE: CLOKS are doing the Charleston!

YOUNG performers from CLOKS – Chard Local Kids Society for Music and Drama – have been having lots of fun in preparation for their forthcoming production as they have danced back to the days of the Charleston.

CLOKS held a Charleston dance workshop at Buckland St Mary village hall on Thursday (April 5, 2018) as it gets ready for its summer production – entitled Charleston – which will be staged at the Guildhall in Chard from June 28-30, 2018.

The workshop was led by Victoria Hole, a dance teacher from Bristol and who is also a part of the vintage dance troupe called the Flaming Feathers.

A CLOKS spokesman said: “All the members had great fun learning the Charleston moves and this will enhance their performance when it’s show time.”

The talented CLOKS will also be holding a fundraising Barn Dance next month.

The Barn Dance will be held on Saturday, May 5, 2018, from 7pm at the Cotley Tithe Barn and tickets cost just £5 which includes entry and a hot dog.

Refreshments will also be available. Go to http://www.cloks.org.uk/ for further information.
