YOUTH RUGBY: Redstart are the champions

YOUNG rugby players at Redstart Primary School in Chard were crowned champions of a recent tournament held at Holyrood Academy.

Holyrood held the Chard primary cluster Years 3-4 Tag Rugby Competition on Tuesday, January 30, 2018, and six schools took part.

The teams produced some excellent rugby and Redstart emerged victorious.

The matches were very well refereed by Holyrood’s Year Ten sports leaders and all games were played in a great spirit.

Redstart scored an amazing 55 tries in their five games with the standout performers being Oliver Turnbull, Rhys Jenkins and Harry Appleton.

Keep an eye out for their names in the years to come – perhaps they might end up playing in the Six Nations?
