CHARD NEWS: Life membership awards to a trio of CATS

THREE long-standing supporters of the Chard Amateur Theatre Society have been rewarded for all their efforts by becoming Life Members of the group.

The society president Bill Case presented Lorraine Marshall, Carol Wells-Burr and Marc Marshall with their Life Members badges at the end of the opening night of the group’s 2018 offering of pantomime fun and mayhem – Puss in Boots.

Mr Case thanked them for their tremendous support of the group, better known as CATS, over many years.

The Mayor of Chard, Cllr Garry Shortland, who had watched the opening show of Puss in Boots with invited dignitaries from around the area, was also at the presentation.

The Puss in Boots production was another fun-filled show with all the usual panto slapstick comedy and corny jokes.
