CLUBS AND SOCIETIES: Tough decisions for judges in Chard Camera Club contest

CHARD Camera Club held its first in-house digitally projected image competition on Thursday (January 4, 2018) at the Baptist Church Hall.

Twenty-five club members watched as their images were marked and the judges had to make some tough decisions in coming up with their winning entries.

The results were welcomed, however, as recent new members ot the club took the honours of winning their first competition within CCI.

The latest results from the most recent in-house Digitally Projected Image competition were as follows:

In the Dark: 1 Rings of Fire by Dougie Young; 2 The Kelpies at Falkirk by Drew Anderson; 3 Phantom Skateboarder by Sylvia Adams. Highly commended - Hot Air by Marjorie Marrett. Highly commended - Maltese Lightening Storm by John Emery.

Open: 1 Fading Beauty by Sylvia Adams; 2 Evening Paddle by Sylvia Adams; 3 Greenbottle Feeding by Don Easter; 3 Quad racer by Jim Brown. Highly commended - Ardvrek Castle by Debbie Hammond. Highly commended - Itsy Bitsy Spider by Dougie Young. Highly commended - Lost in Lavender by Lynda Porter. Highly commended - Pot Plant and Friend by Lynda Porter. Highly commended - The Nymph by Drew Anderson.
